The Enertia® kit is complete, and now the contractor is finishing the exterior and working on the interior of the home. If you did not already see the time lapse video compressing the kit construction into 3 minutes, you can see it here.

At this point the SIPS roof panels are on and the windows will be delivered soon. The first coat of stain has been applied (in just one day!). Once the windows are installed, working inside can go forward no matter what weather winter throws at the crew.

The main entry is on the East and leads into the Great Room. A deck will be added along the North side.

The Great Room is made even more dramatic by the large door and window openings into the Sunspace and by the heavy timber trusses. The upstairs loft (upper left photo) has not been completely floored.

The heavy timber decorative trusses support the inner ceiling of the Great Room. These Douglas Fir trusses are mortised, tenoned and pegged.

The Sunspace is the "engine room" of the house and is likely to be the gathering place of choice when the home is finished.

The basement fireplace is being constructed by the mason.

With the windows in, the building is "dried in" and inside work can be completed in relative comfort, even in the middle of Winter.
The exposed portion of the foundation will be faced with brick or stone. More photos will be posted as the project progresses, and if you missed Part 1 of this project, you can catch up any time.

With such a tall east and west facade, an interesting architectural feature was needed at the peak. The Enertia designers added a cantilevered section to break up the space visually and ad a 3D element.

This house has so many interesting angles and views. With the window stickers removed, it appears that construction is winding down - at least on the outside. On the inside, work continues on the central chimney and room divisions.

The Sunspace in the Legend has a 4' deep section and an 8' deep section.

A stone veneer adds texture and substance to the exterior foundation walls.

The south side of an Enertia home is all about letting in the Sun's light and heat. Daylight floods the basement from the bottom row of windows (which are at the top of the basement). All the other windows allow the light and heat of the Sun to enter, and connect the homeowners with the outdoors, even while inside.
